Borzoi

A graceful and speedy dog the Borzoi has its origins in Russia in the 11th century. Very popular with the Russian royal family the first Borzoi to reach the UK was a present to Princess Alexandra in 1842. The name Borzoi derives from the Russian word borzii, meaning swift.
