The Boston terrier

The Boston Terrier was orignally used in the 1800's in the USA for bull baiting and ratting. It is nowadays a intelligent, good tempered companion dog! The Boston Terrier, not surprisingly, originated in Boston, Massachusetts. It is the State Dog or Dog Emblem of Massachusetts. The Boston Terrier, was the first purebred dog developed in America (1869) and is a cross between an English bulldog and an English terrier.
