Chesapeake Bay Retriever

Originating in the 1800's in the Chesapeake Bay of the USA this retriever stands at around 58 cms high and was used for retrieving water fowl. The breed evolved from two pups rescued from a ship that ran aground off the coast of Maryland in 1807. The breed has webbed toes which assists in swimming!
