Rough and smooth collies

Rough collies - the rough collie is one of the most striking of dogs - Lassie, one of the most famous dogs of all times, was a rough collie! Originating in the 1500's and standing around 55 cms the rough collie was kept by Queen Victoria at Balmoral.

Smooth collies - the smooth collie also originated in the 1500's and like the rough collie was used for herding sheep and is an intelligent and loyal dog.
