Corgi
There are two distinct breeds of Corgi, the Pembroke and Cardigan, both names after the Welsh counties where they were developed. The Pembroke is famous for its royal connections where they have been known to nip visitors! The Pembroke is characterised by a short, upright tail and pointed ears, the Cardigan Corgi has a longer tail and more rounded ear tips. The ancestry of both can be traced back to the Swedish Vallhund which was brought to the region by Viking invaders over 1,000 years ago.
