Golden retriever

The golden retriever is one of the most popular of dog breeds with a coat colour varying from shades of cream to gold. The golden retriever is alert and responsive to training and makes an excellent family pet although it does need a lot of exercise. From its origins in the 1800's until 1920 it was known as the golden flat-coat and is also known as the yellow retriever.
