Leonberger

A lovely, big, friendly dog which stands at around 72 cms high. In the 1840's the Mayor of Leonberg set out to create a dog that resembled the dog on the town crest, imaginatively it was named the Leonberger! It's ancestors include the St Bernard and the Newfoundland. The Leonberger loves water and has been used as a water rescue dog.
