Schnauzer

There are three different types of Schnauzer and they all share a common ancestry. Of German origin with the word Schnauzer translating as muzzle and describing the characteristic long hair there is characteristic of this breed. The Schnauzer was known of in the 1700's where it was used as a cattle dog and for rat catching. The Schnauzer are lively dogs who are devoted to their owners but can be suspicious of strangers.
