Affectionately known as the Sheltie, the Shetland Sheepdog is thought to have evolved, not surprisingly, in the Shetland Isles off the north coast of Scotland. They are similar to the rough collie but smaller in size (around 37 cms). The Shetland Sheepdog is intelligent and easily trained, they are active dogs and need sufficient exercise. They are good with other dogs.
