Whippet

Originating in the UK in the 1800's the Whippet has been purpose bred for racing and it can outpace a greyhound over short distances. Thought to have been produced from crossings between the Italian Greyhound and certain terrier breeds the Whippet stands around 47 cms high and comes in a range of colours. Despite having a delicate appearance the Whippet is a strong, lively, affectionate dog.
