Dandie Dinmont Terrier
Developed in the border counties between Scotland and England the Dandie Dinmont became famous through the writings of Sir Walter Scott. Originally used to hunt badgers and otters the Dandie Dinmont tends to become devoted to its owner but may be reserved with strangers. Despite its devotion the Dandie Dinmont can be a stubborn little dog and is harder to train than some other terriers.
