Originally known as the Hofwarth the Hovawart has been known of since the Middle Ages and comes from the Hartz, the Black Forest and other regions of Germany. Weighing around 25-40 kg with a height of 60-70 cms the Hovawart is a hardyu dog capable of working in all weathers. The Hovawart is agile, swift and self assured and devoted to the family.
